LASOS implements a culturally responsive, three-part program designed to reduce opioid and substance use disparities among immigrant families in Harford County. Through collaborative partnerships with local agencies, schools, churches, the Harford County Health Department, and the Office of Drug Control Policy, the program delivers multilingual education workshops grounded in evidence-based models while strengthening coordinated referral systems. In addition, LASOS provides comprehensive wraparound resource coordination connecting families to healthcare, behavioral health, food security resources, and other essential services to ensure equitable access, improved health literacy, and long-term community well-being.
